About
Emir Manrique
Digital & Graphic Designer focused on accessible design, so people with disabilities can use the services they need. Charlotte, North Carolina.
I have worked on digital platforms since 1998. For thirteen years I was part of multidisciplinary teams inside a national judiciary: first on the internet and intranet portals of its Executive Directorate and the effort to standardize the websites of the institutions of the judicial branch, then on virtual courses for judges at its National School.
Today, through my studio eMirDesigner LLC, I work with the team at AndiSites Inc., a web firm that serves justice organizations, public colleges and local government in the United States.
From that experience came The Bridge Method, a set of accessible design rules for public-sector websites. I share it with other designers through free guides and checklists, so the rules travel to projects I will never touch myself.
I run eMirDesigner LLC, founded in 2019, and I work in English and Spanish.
